3 Things you need to know about me. I love Jesus. I love my husband. And I’m learning to love the reflection in the mirror. That last one has taken me some time. Used to, I would catch a glimpse and shudder, then talk myself off the ledge by reminding my inner critic that SOMEWHERE, SOMEONE thought I was beautiful. Now days, it’s more of a habit to think of myself as beautiful. Not in a prideful way -I hope. But in a view that’s more in line with what God sees when he looks at me, his creation. His image-bearer, fulfilling His work.
Sweet, direct, no-nonsense blog with a “wicked” sense of humor. That is what us Maine girls say when something is really fabulous. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
“Wicked” sense of humor. I like that. Stealing. 🙂

Thank you Dennie. I appreciate that. Thanks for the follow back!
Thanks for the follow. I wish you well in your journey!
I bet when your hubby looks at you he loves what he sees. To me the only two things that matter are what God thinks and what our spouses think when they see us.

“Sometimes people are beautiful, Not in looks… Not in what they say… But just in what they are..!!” ~~ Marcus Zusac God Bless
So true. Good words. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, thank you for stopping by my blog…I just returned the favour and discover we have more in common than just been bloggers….:-)
God bless you..
Yeah? I love when that happens. 🙂 Thanks for the follow back. Look forward to keeping up with you.
Thank you for following my blog. I like to return the favor and follow back. I love your name! I look fwd to reading your blog and keeping up.
Thanks Lisa. Ditto. 🙂 And thank you for the follow back.
Thank you for finding and following my blog! Great way to look at life and yourself! Now where did the name come from!?
That’s a great question. I kept circling around this idea of seeing the world through ovary-colored (shaped?) glasses. So between all the options (included in the running were “The Dixie Ovaries,” “The Ovary Chronicles,” and “Life with Ovaries”) this one jumped out at me the most. 🙂 I’m glad we’re connected!
Do you think the name fits the content?
I do and I love it! Look forward to much more!
Keep loving yourself the way God wants you to. Too many of us don’t appreciate the beauty in us that He created.
Thanks for following our blog and liking our latest post asking if believers sow unity or discord. Pastor G and I are here for you, so please let us know if there’s something we can help with. We’ll be delighted to do so as God leads.
Blessings,
Pastor Sharon
Thanks Sharon. Glad to be connected in the Blogsphere.
I am always glad to be used by God to bring encouragement and sometimes even bring a giggle.
Blessings,
Pastor Sharon
I used to think just like you until about a year ago when someone told me I was beautiful and special and had a lot to give. That person was a friend, but now is no longer a friend by their choice. I guess I gave too much 🙂 To me, everyone is beautiful, inside and out until they prove me wrong. Everyday is a challenge for me and I question everything I do and say. I have been married for over 36 years to the same man and he is just realizing who I am and what I can accomplish. You are beautiful to all
So inspiring Sue! Congratulations on your 36-year marriage. And you are beautiful. 🙂
I like this. We are what we say we are. Speak of yourself as beautiful and you will be. That goes with anything in life. Just speak it.
Exactly. 🙂
